A lot of what I recommend tend to be great for regular CPUs that have a keyboard and monitor, but not everyone is looking for that. Here is a list of some of the best standing desks you can get that are great for laptops!
What we’re looking for here is not only something that works ergonomically but is also lightweight and mobile. This fits in with the laptop lifestyle.
Unlike some of the most popular models that have 2 different levels, a standing desk for your laptops will only have 1 level (for obvious reasons). The great thing about these options is that they are going to be much more affordable than a larger 2 tier setup.
Here are some of my favorites:
Best Standing Desks for Laptops
1. Levit8 Foldable Standing Desk
The Levit8 is clearly inspired for laptops with its ability to fold up thinner than a book. It also weighs less than 2 pounds so this is basically the smallest footprint you’ll find in a standing desk.
Some awesome features are that it is spill proof, so it won’t absorb liquid. It also holds about 20 times its own weight. They didn’t say exactly but I’m guessing it can hold 35 pounds. Which is way more than any laptop would weigh.
Simple. Compact. Exactly what you want to go with your laptop. This is not only effective but super cool looking as well! Oh, and did I mention you can get this in the $20 range? Pretty sweet.

2. FURINNO A6-CP Laptop Desk
This is another terrific option for laptops. You can fold it up almost as small as the Levit8. It also is more versatile in that it can adjust to multiple different height levels. Plus, it has ventilation to help keep your laptop cool.
It goes as high as 21.9 inches above your desktop so this is going to be tall enough for almost anyone. It also comes in 11 different colors, so you can go with a traditional black, or something that stands out.
This laptop stand comes in at 5 pounds but can hold up to 30 pounds making it ideal for laptops. You should be able to get it right around $40 or even less.

3. iCraze Laptop Desk
I really like this option. It’s really almost the same as the Furinno only it has an option for a mouse on the side if that is something you prefer.
All the other specs are really the same (other than weighing about 1 pound more) and again, you should be able to find this for less than $40 making it a great buy.

4. Avantree Laptop Table
This makes the list because of its superior quality. On Amazon, it currently has a 4.7 out of 5 rating. Which is excellent. The downside though, is that it only stands 12.5 inches tall. Meaning anyone above 5’9″ will want something taller. It also doesn’t have a venting system like the Furinno and iCraze.
However, if you’re shorter and have a laptop that doesn’t heat up too much, then this seems to be a favorite for a lot of people.
Again this comes in at less than $40 and checks off the main boxes we are looking for: highly compact, lightweight, allows you to stand up.

5. The UpTrak Metro Standing Desk
I wanted to at least give one option that is able to work for a laptop as well as a full keyboard and monitor. With this sit/stand converter, you have that capability.
The great thing about this laptop desktop is that it has a much larger surface for you to work on.
The downside is because it has more space, it goes for more. You should be able to get this desk converter for about $100 or so though, still making it an affordable buy.

Summary
Ok, there you have it. Those are my favorite standing desks for laptops. Normally you tend to see these lumped in with other standing desks so I wanted to give you a list you can go to simply for laptops.
As you can see you don’t have to break the bank for sit/stand laptop desk. Unlike your usual desk converter, these go for far less and 4 of the 5 listed here go for less than $40!
Anyone working for extended hours on a laptop could and should utilize one of these. What do you think about these options, have you tried any one of these? Do you agree with the ones I chose? Let me know in the comments below!

Hello Daniel,
I want to thank you for making this information about sit/stand laptop desk options available. I never knew there were so many different options to choose from.
My husband and I spend a lot of time in our RV due to the type of work he does and I’ve been wondering about ways to optimize space while still being versatile enough to allow me to stand at times (I have severe back problems) just to get the blood flowing better.
I’m considering the Icraze laptop desk because it has the side panel for using a mouse. Is there a desk you would recommend above others for an RV with limited space? I also like the Levit8 foldable standing desk option as well, but I use a mouse with my laptop, so I’m not sure that will work. What would you suggest?
Daniel says
No problem Deborah! Yeah if you use a mouse with the laptop then I think the iCraze is perfect. That’s exactly why it’s on the list! Let me know how it works out for you. 🙂
